Doug and I both had to get bloodwork done today so we made noon appointments in a city 20+ min away from here. I took the entire afternoon off. He forgot to, and had to go back to work. Technically, I could have come back and done some more things but I think it is best if I hang back.
Treat myself to a no-work moment.
But I picked up the laptop at 4 and started pounding through tickets and didn't stop until like 10... I'm so very looking forward to my colleague coming back from vacation so she can take her tickets back. Overall, I've learned a lot, and I still want to know more about troubleshooting the new thing we've got going on. But I've struggled with "why is it doing this," and a couple clients that I don't usually work with were kind of dicks.
My usual clients who use my product, well they have been lovely and understanding. Working with me instead of demanding at me.
Anyway, bloodwork went well and I decided I wanted a flu shot. And Doug isn't 100% behind covid boosters with lots of reasons and stuff, but I still wanted one. I feel better about that going into the fall and winter season.
Doug went to the gas station and got propane for the grill. Thankfully. I've missed having some grilled things. So we had a great marinated chicken and the rest of my coleslaw. He then went to the market to get ice cream but didn't get sugar free or low carb ... jerk.
I am in the mood for baking and I wanted some shortening to make a crust. I've finally got a big enough counter area to be able to make pie crust from scratch, so i'll wait for the Big Shop sometime this weekend.
Nothing else fun to report since we didn't have a Friday afternoon off Fun Day. Not sure what is planned for tomorrow, but hopefully a lot of fun. or a little fun. We'll see.
