I've been forcing myself to be up and active, even with this cold. Doug really started to come down with it yesterday, he is about 4 days behind me, I guess. And he's pathetic. Lumpy on couch, lumpy on bed, moaning, honking his schnozzola. Ugh.
He just looked miserable on the couch, and I said "you don't want to go to plant swa----" and he said "no." I shouldn't have even asked.
All told, I'm glad we had some fun yesterday, because today was a wash out.
Last night I did not sleep well, so I went into the guest room around 2am to play a podcast. I slept horribly, and I forced myself up at 9:45 to do steps and not miss that hour. Later in the day though, I went to nap. I have had a hard time napping in the day lately, but I passed right out. I woke up during the 3pm hour and I'd set an alarm for 3:50pm, but. It was for AM instead. So I slept until 4:30 or so and didn't feel badly. I needed it. I let it take me, I fell asleep so deeply, dogs all cuddled on me, window open, soft rain, rather chilly. It was nice.
I made up for it though in steps. Those 250 steps had nothing on today.
Doug made a really good dinner, he roasted lamb shanks with onions and potatoes, it was delicious. I could have eaten 6 of them but we each got one. Geoff said he felt like a caveman eating his. I can see that.
I do have a picture of the irises from the side of the house. They are so lovely. Will post it tomorrow. I'm too tired to get it off my phone. We also have some tulips that opened up, very yellow. I kind of wish everything was in one place, the plants are all over the yard with no rhyme or reason. Next will be some day lillies by the back gate. Looking forward to that.
One thing we really need to do is mow the lawn. It's overdue by at least one week. But Doug not feeling well means Geoff isn't confident in the first run of the mower for the year - it may need some TLC. Hopefully next weekend.

- 19 min/.42 miles (I think this was just in the yard with the dogs).
- Toffee walk, 34 min/1.42 miles,
- 10 min indoor walk while Doug ran to CVS, because I was far behind the benchmarks for the day, for .44 miles.
