Last night, I was watching the Steelers/Browns game in the absolute snow globe of a stadium there in Cleveland. Snow. Wow. It was hard to see the players, it was kind of wild. I worried about all the people who had to drive home in that weather. In the fourth quarter I realized I had not started this blog entry for 11/21, and I was too lazy to do so. Today you get ... double the boring.
This morning, it was cold here. it is in the upper 30s, which is cold. And it was snowing.
Actual snowing. Not like the football game last night, but enough that it was noticeable. I tried to take some pictures but the flakes weren't showing up well. Still. It was pretty to watch.
Every third Friday we have something called Sprint Review where the product and dev teams show what they did over the last period of time, and what is planned for the next period of time. It is always really nice to get caught up with all the products that I don't support and get surprised by news on the products I do support.
Reminds me I need to log into the ticket tracking system and read all of the issue responses that I need to read.
I sat sipping my coffee, watching out the window, listening to the product teams present, and just relaxed. Watched it snow. Snow with still so much vibrant color up in the trees. Very surreal.
There were other meetings, and helpdesk tickets, and I had a wonderful chat with a colleague who has been very sick and is back to work, so it was nice to just chat with him about life and stuff. And he has a new little dog, we dog parent bragged on our babies with each other.
Around 4pm, I got my annual review "packet" delivered to me, where my manager and two peers wrote up incredibly kind and wonderful things. Challenges for me to consider. Suggestions for making my involvement more powerful in the organization. I have to sit with some of this and read it over again. Interesting way to end the work day.
That is as exciting as this gets. I guess. Digits below the ... not very exciting pictures of snow stuff. You can see a flake or two...
