A little trip north

Today was supposed to be haircut day before I go to Maine, but Doug said he wanted to go to this brewery in Frederick County that we'd never been to. No haircut. Yes beer.

I'll do a writeup of the brewery on the beer blog later on but overall here's about the day for us. There was a brewery dog, she was beautiful and delightful, welcoming everyone who came in. But really she was hoping for a cookie or snack. Regulars know to bring a snack but we were unprepared. She did pose for a picture which was lovely.

The brewery is at a farm, so we spent a ton of time in the farm store, looking at all the stuff. We just bought a ton of peaches, so it was disappointing that we couldn't come back with a dozen more. That would be silly.

There were birds who were very friendly and easy to talk to. There were tons of pretty pots and other pottery, and lots of cute gifts that spoke to us of Jess.

It is about an hour from our house but well worth the trip and we'll be back. It was a beautiful day, there was live music from two bands, a lot of other dogs were there, and it was wonderful to be out and not sweating balls outside for a change.

I mean, it was hot and all but. Overall it felt nice. I didn't want a lot of beer but we each tried three. Then Doug wanted to go East to the ice cream place and heck if it wasn't just like right over there. Got us some soft serve and watched some kids play on a wall while their parents all chatted together.

So the blood sugar thing is basically fubar today. But I had a good day, got a nice walk in, grilled chicken for dinner and am happy. Happy is nice.

Here's Sinammon, With an S like that on purpose. And she is delightful. I'll remember cookies next time sweetie. I promise.
