DNA Results for Toffee

We're those people, now. I guess.

We sent off for Toffee's DNA after we adopted her. We knew she had pit bull in her, but kind of wanted to know the balance and the what else of her.

We've always wondered about the mixes of our dogs because only one of them was ever an actual pure-bred beast (Missy was a Rottweiler).  Everyone else was a big mix. You can tell by looking at dogs what they are, like Kinger was for sure a Golden/Rottie mix. Jack was some sort of black lab or flat coat retriever mix and we always wondered why he had short, stubby legs. Brodie was ... something, and her paperwork said "Boxer X" but I would have bet there was some pit bull there. Gonzo we actually knew what his mix was because when Aaron got him in Maine, the breeder was trying to create a sled dog mix for competition. I forget what his mix was, but the guy failed because the dogs were all smart and fast but absolutely disinterested in pulling a sled.

Doug got her to wonderfully sit and allow her mouth swab, and the package went out. Results were emailed to us today and she's a lot less Pittie than I thought, but still plenty.

Here is our panel. Our girl is known.
